Each person might think of a different thing when they think about workplace privacy. As computers became more popular, email became a major form of communication within the workplace. Most companies now have an email system, and each employee has their own work address. The problem is that so many use this address for personal things as well, and employers are trying to read these personal communications. Those concerned with workplace privacy question whether is right or not. I often get emails from friends through their work addresses, and I wonder if their employers are aware of what they are doing.

There is a lot of pressure on adolescents to pick a career. Even at the tender age of thirteen or fourteen, teachers and parents sometimes put pressure on children to make up their minds. There is so much emphasis on selecting the appropriate subjects to take exams in that will help the career choice. School exams lead on to college and university and there are big decisions to make. If the wrong choice is made, it needn’t be the end of the world. Students have been halfway through a university course and decided that it wasn’t for them. Many of them successfully switch courses to something that they are suited for.

I used to think that I wanted to become a book editor. It seemed like the idea life for me. From a very early age, I was excellent at manuscript editing. I would edit books for many of my friends - fantasy tales based on people we knew from our classrooms - and they always liked the results. Then suddenly it dawned on me - I didn’t want to get into book editing, I wanted to be the one writing the books. Deciding to become an author was not an easy choice for me to make. When I first thought about it, I wanted to be a Novelist in the same way that most kids want to be a fireman or a police officer. I knew that I liked book editing, but I knew that my own stories turned out even better than the ones that I edited for other people.

I’ve been buying things on the Internet for many years now. I realized a long time ago that I would always get better deals on whatever kind of product or service I was interested in by purchasing from websites rather than bricks and mortar stores. The obvious reason is that it takes far less money to operate a web store than a real store, so most website retailers are able to offer their products for prices that you would never see at the mall. In addition, I can get even better deals just by using online shopping coupons whenever I make a purchase. Online shopping coupons work just like the regular ones people usually clip out of the Sunday paper.

When I go away there are times when I must make hotel reservations and there are times when I don’t. I actually don’t know why I do this, but there are times when I want to see what I am getting into before I decide if I want to stay there or not. Though I have my favorite hotels, there are some that can be iffy if you stay in the wrong city. There are also times when the hotels I like to stay in are not around, and I have to make a wild guess about where exactly where I want to stay. If I am going to a large city, I know I had better make hotel reservations, even if there isn’t huge event going on.

If you have always dreamed of starting your own business, you should think about doing what I did. A lot of people avoid starting a restaurant business, and it is no wonder why. I have heard from some experts that, out of every four people who decide to start a restaurant business, three of them fail within the first six months. Starting a restaurant business is no easy job, after all. The workload is tremendous, the overhead is high, and the profit margin is slim. If you do not have enough capital when you start a restaurant business, the lack of sufficient customers within the first few months might be enough to put you under.

There are several buildings of historic interest in the old, downtown district, some of them dating back to Victorian times. One of these buildings is the Williamson County Courthouse, built in 1911. It is expected to re-open in 2007 after a refurbishment. The Williamson County Historical Museum has exhibits relating to the local history of the Georgetown Texas and county area. The Georgetown Firefighters Museum is housed in the working fire station and exhibits memorabilia, photographs and equipment from the origin of the Fire Department in the 1800s. A 1922 fire engine in pristine condition is also on display.

I keep hearing that you have to start the day with a healthy breakfast, but that doesn’t mean my body wants to acknowledge that this is true. I know I should eat when I wake up, but my stomach will rarely let me do it. My daughter eats each morning, and I won’t let her out of the house without having something good and filling to start her day.
