Everyone has heard of the Blarney Stone but some people may not realize that it actually exists and isn’t a mere myth. It can be found in Blarney Castle, a medieval pile near the city of Cork. The castle originated in 1200, was destroyed in 1446 and re-built. Today, it is a partial ruin but it’s possible to access some rooms and walk on some battlements. Legend has it that this rewards the bearer of the kiss with a way with words or the ability to flatter.
