The Archery History on Discovery Science via Columbia Satellite

January 30th, 2007

Last week as I switched on my Columbia free dish network satellite system I stumbled on a show on Discovery Science that covered some archaeological findings about archery. You never know what you’re going to get when you turn on…. and point your little satellite to the sky. It was said that the Bow and Arrow has been around for 20,000 years at least. It seems that recent findings of amazing stone arrow heads on the African continent indicates that the bow was invented there possibly as early as 50,000 BC. Now usually when I watch satellite television via my Duluth TV satellite dish network I don’t expect to get such good information about our favorite sport “archery.
