July 9th, 2007Extending to some 31,500 square kilometers, the Burgundy wine growing region is an area which is rich in world and winemaking history and this 360 kilometer strip of land runs from the south of Dijon to Rhoône and produces approximately 180 million bottles of wine annually. Burgundy’s wines include some of the finest red wines such as Corton and Pommard as well as a number of world-class white wines such as Chablis or Chassagne Montrachet.
