Cottage Rentals
May 4th, 2008We have had ocean front property for a few years, but the cost of building and the inconvenience have prevented us from really doing anything with it. Instead, we have been using cottage rentals for the last several years as a way to enjoy ourselves in the summer. There is a lot to be said for cottages rentals. Owning cottages for sale is nice, but it requires a lot of work. You have to make sure it is well taken care of in the off-season, and issues like seasonal flooding, freezing, or freak weather can really take their toll rather quickly. There is nothing that can go bad more quickly than a neglected cabin, cottage, or vacation home.
With cottages rentals, however, you don’t have to worry about any of that. Someone else will be taking care of the cottage for you. You have all the conveniences of a vacation home with none of the responsibility. Often, you can find a cottage rental That would be out of your price range if you were to own it. I have stayed at some pretty luxurious houses on the beach, houses that I could never afford to buy. With cottage rentals, however, it doesn’t matter. If I’m staying a week or two, I can definitely afford the rent.
