Plastic Surgery Risks
Plastic surgery risks vary from procedure to procedure. With some, such as the lancing of a mole or cyst, there is very little risk. With other procedures – breast augmentation and liposuction to name two – there is more risk. The more complex the procedure gets, the more risk there will be during and after.Plastic surgery risks run the gamut from simple swelling all the way to necrosis, or tissue death at the spot. That’s relatively rare, however. What’s more common is a sensation of numbness, or a loss of sensation all-together at the spot of the incision. However even in these cases any permanent damage is uncommon. What is most common, especially after breast surgeries, is a loss of sensation in the nipple.
