A good place to start is the Tehama argyle sweater vest. Available in white or pink, it features an argyle pattern running horizontally across the chest area.
Another design in the Tehama range is the Ladies V-Neck version. This is a 70% cotton and 30% bamboo garment. It also provides a UPF protection factor of 30. The colorful argyle pattern is limited to the left front of the garment. The fabric has both anti-microbial properties and is also quick to dry.

It was interesting to read on the various methods used on bow hunting safaris. Here is what I discovered:
Stalking is the hunt method used for animals that are rarely spotted at waterholes. The typical species hunted in this way is Nyala, Klipspringer, Bushbuck and Duiker. The areas used for this type of hunt
method normally have water streams and thick bush vegetation, hills, and valleys. The best time for this type of bow hunt method is from April-June.
Blinds: You will be able to hunt Zebra, Red Hartebeest, Warthog, Eland, Impala, Baboon, and Blue Wildebeest in this manner. From elevated to ground blinds are utilized for both the sitting and the
standing bow hunter.
The opportunity driven method of hunting is when animals are located through the use of a vehicle. Once spotted the stalk on foot starts. The archer can also be dropped of downwind from the animals while the game will then slowly be driven to the archer. It requires a lot of space and also patience. Any of the above species can be hunted in this way.
When it comes to plains and dangerous game hunting it is recommended that you first consult with a professional hunter on the requirements to ensure that you make use of the correct bows and arrows. For more articles on hunting I found the World to Africa website informative.

Do’s
If you use a booking agent in your country always ask him for references of previous clients and contact them to make sure the agent did perform to their expectations. A full-time booking agent with a good track record will know the outfitter and most of the times hunted with him before. Ask them about the outfitter the hunt will be booked with, as the agents usually book with more then one outfitter depending on which animals you are looking to hunt. Any good outfitter will have at least a website with general information about packages, prices, accommodation a photo gallery etc. Also ask him for references in your country and contact them to get an impression about the trophy quality, service and any information that you are unsure about. The outfitter must assist you and the agent to plan the hunt to the last detail. Make sure you get all the information correct and sign a Safari Confirmation Contract with prices, payment terms, dates of arrival/departure, trophies you plan on taking, food and accommodation preferences before paying a deposit.
Don’ts
You must never just book with the first agent you meet and be lured by cheap hunting packages. There are so many clients that book with agents and travel all the way to Africa and are disappointed with the “Special Deal.” The outfitter must be involved in the booking process to confirm that the dates and species you are looking for are available. When you buy any product there are price tags to it and the same goes for hunting. All the Hunting farms/ranches in South Africa are privately owned and it cost a lot of money to maintain and manage for the foreign trophy hunting client. Never book any hunt before making sure the outfitter and professional hunter are known in the local market. Make sure the outfitter is operating within the laws and contact PHASA (Professional Hunters Association of South Africa) or the local Nature Conservation Department in the Province you plan on hunting. They will confirm that the Professional Hunter and Outfitter are registered and in “good standing” with them.
Get the paperwork signed and sorted before leaving on your Hunting Safari, don’t leave it until you arrive in a foreign country. Make sure that outfitter did receive a signed copy of the Safari Confirmation Contract and flight details. Always contact him well in advance to discuss any details about your hunt and travel arrangement. Any good outfitter will get the paperwork in order before you arrive and just discuss the details of the hunt with you upon arrival at the Hunting Lodge.
If you follow these few basic tips you will have a great African Hunting Safari and will want to return again for more!!

It is really not accurate or appropriate to say that there is a bow that is best for everyone.
There are many other high quality brands and models from which to choose. Commonsense should tell you that the bow that is best for you is the bow that best fits your purpose, your size and strength, your shooting style, your skill level, and of course your budget.
Compound bows come in a variety of shapes, sizes, colors and levels of sophistication. No doubt the modern compound bow is a fantastic hunting weapon, but you have to remember that the compound bow is still a relatively simple device. The compound bow is constructed from readily available materials; it has only a handful of moving parts; and it isn’t yet micro-processor controlled. Does this sound very “high tech to you?
Most bow manufacturers design their marketing campaigns to market their bows as a “high technology product. So you may ask–why do they do this? Because the manufacturers know that bowhunters want a “high-technology product that will give them an edge. They stretch the truth to make it appear that their products offers a technological advantage in order to improve the bowhunter’s success rate which is notoriously low.

If you are a hunting enthusiast and have never been bow hunting then you should look into this highly addictive sport. There is nothing as rewarding and rejuvenating as a bow hunting camping trip. Hiking into beautiful back country and getting close to game while archery hunting can be difficult, but this is what makes it such an addicting sport.

Whenever archers get together there are always those among them who would have us believe because our ancestors shot a bow five thousand or fifty thousand years ago that we moderns can shoot a bow instinctively and all that we have to do to hit a mark or bag our buck is to take a deep breath, look at the target, draw the arrow back to the ear, and let fly.
Well, if you buy that line, you will not be any better a marksman than your remote ancestors. Legends about Robin Hood’s merry men to the contrary, your ancestors were inferior marksmen by modern standards. With primitive equipment, they developed the art of stalking game to a high degree in order to close to point-blank-range to register a hit.
In the thousands of years since man first stood on his feet and walked, the period in which he has used missile weapons is of relatively short duration. No one can fix the exact “time” of man’s arrival on earth and even as late as the year 1860, the majority of scientists believed man’s existence covered a span of less than 6,000 years.
Since that date, evidence of man’s antiquity yielded through the discovery of ancient graves, fossilized remains found in geological formations laid down in the past, and excavations carried out in the exploration of caves in France and elsewhere in Western Europe, permitted archaeologists to establish that man was certainly in existence at the beginning of the Pleistocene period. Unfortunately no sure means of estimating the duration of these periods in terms of years is as yet known to geologists.

Last week as I switched on my Columbia free dish network satellite system I stumbled on a show on Discovery Science that covered some archaeological findings about archery. You never know what you’re going to get when you turn on…. and point your little satellite to the sky. It was said that the Bow and Arrow has been around for 20,000 years at least. It seems that recent findings of amazing stone arrow heads on the African continent indicates that the bow was invented there possibly as early as 50,000 BC. Now usually when I watch satellite television via my Duluth TV satellite dish network I don’t expect to get such good information about our favorite sport “archery.

Adidas did it with soccer. Nike did it with basketball. And Alpine is doing it for archery.
Successful brands always find a way to associate their name to popular sports. This is part and parcel of their marketing ploy. Just as the two shoes conglomerates above were able to conquer a specific niche in the market, so has Alpine with its dominance of the archery industry. Ask a professional archer what his or her bow’s brand is, and he or she will most probably answer that it’s by Alpine Archery.

Essential for every game of archery is a target. After all, archers are not expected to fire on air with reckless abandon. The target represents their goal. Hitting the same represents their objective. Simply put, a game of archery is fruitless without an archery target.
Now, if you want a quick game, then simply purchase a target in any sports shop within your area. They’re sure to have one in stock. You can even try online retailers who will deliver the same to your doorstep, most of them even promise to do so ever so expediently, allowing only 24 hours of wait time.

Archery is in my opinion the most interesting of all sports on this earth. It certainly is the most varied too me. I know that archery as a sport can mean different things to many different people. For example to a hunter, archery means tracking big game animals through the thick woods. To an Olympic archery expert, archery has a totally different meaning when they compete against the best archers of the world. We at Consumer heaven do our best to keep up to date with everything consumers around the world are interested in including archery.

It can remember it like it was yesterday when my good friend Michael won the archery contest in 2002. I remember that I was watching the game via my newly acquired deal dish network satellite TV when I saw him shoot his arrows to victory. I wish I could operate the equipment like he can. Since I am a little too lazy and like to watch digital satellite TV I don’t practice enough to become and expert.

Archery – The skill of shooting an Arrow using a Bow was in the bygone
ages a military weapon and also a hunting method before the invention
of gunpowder. It is mainly confined now as a competitive sport used for
target shooting.
A bow is a weapon that shoots arrows using the elasticity of the bow.
The bow is made of a strip of flexible material with a cord linking the
two ends of the strip to provide tension from which is propelled the
arrow which is a straight shaft with a sharp point on one end or have
flints and usually with feathers attached to the other end.
