Living and Loving The Chinese New Year Celebration

Monday, October 27th, 2008

The celebration of the Chinese new year traditions of New York and San Francisco are two of the most interest cultural events, and best parties, in the country. A lot of people are familiar with the basics of the Chinese new year celebration – the dragon dance, the fireworks, the parade – but until you have seen it all first hand, you can’t really imagine what it is like. It can be actually a little bit scary the first time. Traditional American parades with car horns, sirens, and marching bands are raucous enough.

Because the Philippines is an archipelagic country, its geographic resources mainly include beaches and mountains. Among the great destinations in the Philippines are Bohol, Puerto Galera and Cebu. The Philippine Islands host over 22 active volcanoes and many people do not realize this. It should not surprise anyone that each year the Philippines have at least a couple of eruptions; some are large but most are small.

China

China is the only fastest major growing nation with an average annual GDP growth rate of at least 10%. In 2007, China was ranked 1st by current account balance of USD 262.2 billion dollars (9% of GDP). China’s rapid development of its economy is no threat to any other country but an important opportunity for other countries to come into China and expand and expose their market internationally. China’s globalisation is becoming “the place to be” for exposure to multinational companies and organizations.

Singapore

Wednesday, October 24th, 2007

This text provides a comprehensive overview of the economic development of Singapore, one of the leading commercial and financial centres in Southeast Asia throughout the 20th century. This development has been based on a strategic location at the crossroads of Asia, a free trade economy, and a dynamic entrepreneurial tradition. Initial 20th century economic success was linked to a group of legendary Chinese entrepreneurs, but by mid-century independent Singapore looked to multinational enterprise to deliver economic growth. Nonetheless exports of manufactures accounted for only part of Singaporean expansion, and by the 1980s Singapore was a major international financial centre and leading world exporter of commercial services.

Great Wall China Fascinates Me

Monday, October 22nd, 2007

They say the world is shrinking and it is, in respect of the ease of world travel. Tourists want to travel to the more remote outposts of the world and adventure travel is increasingly popular. When I was a child, I dreamt of visiting the Far East and the Great Wall China, in particular. China held a fascination for me but I never dreamt that I would actually get there one day. My husband and I decided to save up and go on the vacation of a lifetime. We have a friend who lives and works in Japan who speaks Chinese Mandarin fluently, having studied the language at Beijing University and has also worked in Taiwan. The plan was to visit our friend in Tokyo and see a bit of Japan. Then we flew to Hong Kong to spend some time there and then onto China. Our friend went with us, which made the trip a lot more fun and much easier, having someone to interpret for us.

Travel Protection? Yes Better Be Safe Than Sorry

Tuesday, August 28th, 2007

Nice info about Travel protection!

The one time I decided to head out of country and overseas was back in 1994. I was a fresh high school graduate with relaxation on my mind. My best friend, who was originally from Taiwan, wanted me to fly with him to his home country for two months. SURE, I thought. What an adventure this would be. Needless to say, at the tender age of 18, travel protection was the last thing on my mind. After all, the young are basically invincible. Anyway, we… Read more now about TRAVEL PROTECTION

India Travel

The most famous landmark in India is the Taj Mahal, an incredibly beautiful structure of white marble, built in the Islamic style in the 17th century. One of the seven wonders of the world, it is located at Agra in Uttar Pradesh. Its origins are pure romance as a Mughal emperor built it as a tribute to his wife, whom he adored. The mosque, ornamental gardens and mausoleum are simply stunning and more than live up to its reputation.

Water Means Money

Wednesday, August 22nd, 2007

In Feng Shui terminology, water is one of the most important words that everyone is concerned about.

When “Feng” is to mean “wind,” then “Shui” is to stand for “water.”

The basic principle of Feng Shui dictates that “winds carries the energy wherever it travels and yet it stops when meeting water.”

Hence the importance of employing the element of “water” to serve as an “energy collector” or “energy accumulator” that further explains why seashore real estate is so much in demand and thus expensive everywhere.

The human body is basically composed of water, and the chi of the water inside your body has a similar frequency to that of any water nearby, rendering it possible to create a strong connection between the two.

If the chi of the water outside your body is pure and clear compared to the chi of the water inside your body, then the outer chi can improve the strength of your inner chi - very much like charging a battery.
