Exploring China - The Great Wall

Thursday, June 28th, 2007

It was once commonly thought that the great wall China was the only human built thing on earth that was distinguishable from space. However, this is not true. There are other things that stand out, but the great wall is one of the most prominent. This is because it was built to go a very long way, and that makes it easier to pick out if looking down from anywhere above the earth.

Bangkok Serviced Apartments

Monday, June 25th, 2007

If you are considering travelling to Bangkok for more than 1 week, you may want to consider staying at a serviced apartment or condo.  Bangkok is a sprawling city with many serviced apartments to choose from, some with short stay policies (1 month) and others with long stay policies (1 year).

Bangkok Serviced Apartments are cheaper than staying at a hotel for a month.  They are just as good an experience as a hotel, as Thai staff are very accomodating in most serviced apartments.  Your room will be cleaned and made up everyday.  You will have to pay extra airconditioning, but you should get free cable and internet.
Bangkok Serviced Apartments and condos vary in quality and age. Some serviced apartments are quite old, so make sure you do your homework on websites like www.roommillion.com and look in expat forums.

Travel Protection

Tuesday, June 12th, 2007

Once we arrived in Taiwan, it was a great relief to be grounded. We began exploring the rural streets of this island country. What a culture shock it was. Soon enough we were lounging in a Taipei apartment. My buddy’s uncle wanted us to stay with him. All seemed good as we frolicked in his community swimming pool. These were essential in this blistering hot climate. To my surprise, the following day I was in desperate need of some travel protection.

Travel To China

Tuesday, June 12th, 2007

About one billion people live in China. I knew that it was impossible to see all of these people – that’s about a fifth of the world’s population – but I still thought it would be neat to really see the country that they inhabit. We knew a lot about western Europe, Eastern Europe, and even Russia. Neither of us, however, knew anything about China. It seemed like a shame, since so many people live there. Understanding the world you live in involves understanding China above all else.

Saturday, March 17th, 2007

Another popular spice is curry. Actually curry isn’t exactly spice but rather a blend of spices, such as peppercorns, cumin, turmeric, mustard seeds, ginger, coriander seeds, cinnamon, cloves, fenugreek, fennel seeds, cardamom and chiles. Curry doesn’t have to be limited to Indian dishes and can be use in any vegetable or meat recipe. It is also great for hot and cold soups and sauces.

Misquito repellant

Wednesday, February 14th, 2007

These is a great article i found on www.tents.info So I was staying up at my brother’s hidden cabin last summer. He thinks it’s so cool because it was constructed completely by hand. An Amish group built it for him. Okay, who am I kidding? That is one sweet little cabin.

It has a loft and a wood stove. What else could a nature buff ask for? Anyway, I made certain to bring a few cans of mosquito repellant.

I knew those little devils would be thick up there in the month of July.

Wednesday, January 10th, 2007

Do you want to learn how to speak Japanese? Maybe it’s a country you love to visit. I wouldn’t be surprised; the streets are so clean and crime-free over there. Heck, the interiors of cabs are even white. The thing about Japan is that we’re always doing business with them. Therefore it is prudent to take the initiative and learn how to speak Japanese.
