Cash Or Finance For Your Boat | Fishing Lesson

Thursday, September 13th, 2007

Before you go out and purchase your boat, remember that boating is a hobby and you shouldn’t go overboard with it.  Unlike your house, boating isn’t really worth going into debt for.  First time buyers who aren’t sure about boating should always make sure they spend well within their budget.

To get the most out of your boat, it’s always a better idea to scrape up your recreational dollars, sell a few of your belongings, and simply save up for a while.  In the meantime, you should carefully study the boating market.  When you manage to save up 3,500 - 25,000 dollars, go ahead and buy the boat you want.

Freshwater Fishing Trips

Thursday, July 26th, 2007

Flyfishing is great, but there is so much variety to freshwater fishing that it is a shame to limit yourself to just one activity.  Although the actual fishing isn’t exactly as exciting, lake fishing still has some advantages over fishing in a stream. There is nothing like spending a day out on the water, casting off again and again from a boat as the waves gently rock you. One of the greatest things about freshwater fishing is that you don’t need an expert to guide you.

Trout Fishing - A Simple Joy

Thursday, July 19th, 2007

The fishing technique that you will use is really very simple and it only requires a couple of things. First of all you are going to need: a small barrel swivels, some split shot sinkers, a few gang hooks, along with some live worms. You should bring along a bait bag to carry the worms in. The great part about this technique is its simplicity. The fact that this technique is so simple is what makes it so effective.

This is the most effective way to catch rainbow trout in running water. Also using the same rig, along with an egg sinker instead of split shot, will work just as well for lake fishing too. The great thing about gang hooks is that they allow you to present the live worm in a completely natural manner to the fish, the way that God intended it to be, this gives the angler a huge advantage.

Oceanic Fish Tank; Bring Home The Beautiful Marine Experience

Friday, July 13th, 2007

One of the most exciting hobbies to have is fish keeping. This tradition has existed for almost 4000 years, and people have been keeping fishes inside all kinds of aquariums, ranging from bowls to glass panels with metal frames, and many more. It would be even more exciting if you are experience fish keeper, and you now have very expensive and beautiful marine fishes that can only survive in your maintenance and no one else’s.

Common Difference From Others

Marine fish keeping would relatively be very good if you have an oceanic fish tank, and not just a common fish tank like others.

Fishing And Hunting In The Great Outdoors

Monday, July 9th, 2007

I really love the great outdoors it has so many different things to offer. I know many people will jump in saying I’d rather be at home or on the beach is their idea of outdoors but believe me unless you have tried it you can not possibly realize the wonders that await. Experiencing mother nature is definitely a hands on adventure so why not give it a go? What is important before you try it to decide which time of year would suit you best as the experience will differ dramatically depending on what season you go.

Personally my favorite time of year is Fall but the preferences of individuals will differ many prefering spring, summer or winter. Now I can hear you heat lovers saying winter you must be mad but each season has its benefits and downside I mean at least in Winter you will not have to worry about mosquitos or other little beasties! Oh yeah and the bears will be hibernating!

So what are the most common ways to experience the outdoors? Well they do vary but the main ones are hunting, fishing and camping. For all you avid hikers out there, yes there is hiking too. My personal favourites are definitely fishing and camping preferably both at the same time. There is nothing better than rolling out of your tent in the morning have a quick swim to get clean, cook some grub and make coffee over the fire (well maybe butane cooker) then grab your tackle and walk along the river to find a nice spot to settle down and wait for that monster fish!

For me it is not just about catching the fish but also about experiencing the quiet beauty of the river and the surrounding environment. It is such a relief after the crazy fast paced life of the modern world. No pollution, no traffic jams and no people! Do not get me wrong I am a real people person but it is so relaxing just sitting back on the edge of a river and letting the world go by at a nice slow peaceful pace.

Lake Ontario Fishing

Saturday, July 7th, 2007

I have always loved Lake Ontario fishing. Lake Ontario has everything I love about the ocean without the things that I dislike. It is huge, cold, and clear. It can have violent storms, yet it can also be unusually placid. It is a bit calmer than the ocean, however, and has fresh water. This means that it is nicer to swim in. The best thing about it, however, is lake Ontario fishing.

Bass Fishing Techniques - A Basic Overview

Friday, July 6th, 2007

A good bass fisherman needs to know how fast or slow they should move the bait through the water. For instance, if you are using a plastic worm, the fish will go after the bait if its movement looks natural. Since real worms don’t swim very fast, the bait should be pulled slowly through the water. Bobbing the bait up and down a little imitates the action of live lure. More often than not a new, or inexperienced fishermen will have the right set up, but they will use the wrong techniques.

When your out bass fishing, its important to pay attention to the bait you are using, you should try to move the bait in a way that appears natural to the fish. You should also pay attention to the weather, along with the time of year. If you are fishing in the winter, you should move the bait slowly. When the water is cold, the fish will still eat but they won’t swim very far in cold water for food. They count on an ambush to catch their meal. Winter time is a excellent time to use the bait flipping technique, but you need to be precise. If the bait is right in front of a bass, there is a good chance that the fish will take the bait.

Bass fishing technique - a few tips for success

Friday, July 6th, 2007

One of the most popular “little known” sports in the world, is bass fishing. It is also the subject of the best and most sought after game fishing tournaments. Is it easy to fish for bass? Or is the notoriety of the fish really making it a challenge to catch it, as it is reported so often? Bass as a fish, is quite aggressive and one which does not know how to quit. So, in case you catch one and it is struggling to get loose, it will keep struggling till either it breaks your equipment and gets free or you totally lift it out of the water. Even after that, in many instances the bass is known to have jumped right back into the water.

Speckled Trout Fishing Can Be Rewarding

Friday, July 6th, 2007

Heading for southern Louisiana or other gulf areas for some speckled trout fishing can be a rewarding experience if you know a little about this sea trout specimen. An average size of one to three pounds may sound good to many; others have learned how to hook onto those in the five or six pounds range.

One of the most important aspects of speckled trout fishing you need to keep in mind in the fish’s tender mouth. It is sometimes called the papermouth trout for a reason, as it is easy to inadvertently yank the hook out of its mouth while setting the hook or fighting it pulling it in.

Deep sea fishing can be a challenge for some

Friday, June 22nd, 2007

Just as our host was asking if we wanted to go back to shore the bait boy indicated that there was a fish on one of the lines. My husband sat in the chair and was handed the rod. It took him over thirty minutes to land the one hundred and forty pound marlin. In between reeling in the fish and giving it more line he was throwing up into a pail. Shortly after his fish was released I hooked a forty five Maui Maui they were very excited about this because it is so good to eat. By this time my husband had the dry heaves so bad we needed to go back to shore. When we arrived at the dock my husband told me to take lots of pictures because we would never be going deep sea fishing together again. It took him the remained of the day to recuperate.

Many hotel resorts have casinos. There are interesting tours for the butterfly museum and the coffee farm.

Rebel Fishing Lures: An American Fishing Tradition

Sunday, May 27th, 2007

There are some pieces of equipment that are just a must in any angler’s tackle box, and Rebel fishing lures are one such item. Founded in Fort Smith Arkansas in 1961 by George Perrin, the plastic mold injection company began making a small, minnow like plastic lure that would mimic the action of a fish in the water in 1963. Although not the mainstay of the company at first, the minnows were soon in high demand and Mr. Perrin set aside part of his production line to making various sizes of minnow shaped lures. The name Rebel actually came from the high school football team in Fort Hood, that was then and still is known as the Rebels.
