The natural world, sport and culture all play a part in attracting tourists to Vero Beach Florida. It’s a tale of two cities with the Indian River splitting it into the mainland and the barrier island. The oceanfront island is home to many retirees and summer residents and real estate is highly prized here. In addition to tourism, citrus fruit preparation is the main industry.  A major aviation company also has a big production center here. The city is famous for being the spring training ground of the Los Angeles Dodgers.

One of the first things we thought about, of course, was the possibility of having a Disney World wedding. I didn’t even know that you could get married at Disney World, but apparently can. There is a lot of charm to it. It is a pretty fantastic place, complete with mock up castles, great rides and roller coasters, and some pretty extravagant parties and parades. Although we didn’t ultimately decide to have a Disney World wedding, there was a lot that was tempting about it.

If you have a vacation planned, and you dive, then there is a place unlike any other you have to see to believe.  Scuba diving in some areas is sometimes not as fun or fulfilling as it should be, but one place that lives up to it’s reputation is Key West.

If you were to ask a number of people as to where they would go for a scuba diving adventure, you would probably hear a number of different locations mentioned. There are many thousands of people who scuba dive and within their ranks there are a variety of tastes and opinions in terms of what is the best destination to visit. Now, if you ask enough people, you will start to hear a number of locations repeated often enough. Of all the locations, probably the one most repeated would be Key West as Key West scuba diving is among the best in the world.

This was the first flying experience for both my friend and me. We had to switch planes in Chicago because there was not a direct flight from Minneapolis to West Palm Beach Florida. We ended up having twenty minutes to get from one gate to another to make our connecting flight. When I think back to how little we knew about traveling I cannot believe we actually made the connection. My aunt was very proud of her home and friends in West Palm Beach Florida. It is a great city and we were two blocks from a great public beach. We spent time on the beach and then took a bus tour to Disney World for two days.

Cultural heritage is also important to the city and it is justly proud of the Museum of Arts and Sciences. It is a collection of permanent exhibitions and traveling displays, concerned with the local social history and natural history of the Daytona Beach area. Each gallery is divided into a special interest, one of which is the Center for Florida History. There is large collection of fossils here and the skeleton of the Giant Ground Sloth, which was found locally.

There are plenty of opportunities to participate in sports and enjoy outdoor activities, such as fishing all year round, tennis and kayaking. Golfers also enjoy the region’s facilities and the mild climate means that a lot of golf can be played throughout the year.  There are two championship 18-hole golf courses at Fort Walton Beach for membership and visitors, where they can also have a meal at their course restaurants.

The actual lake is situated near the Lake Buena Vista Golf Course. This 18-hole course has a lovely setting and winds through pine forests, lakes and canals. It has a clubhouse, restaurant and pro shop and there are convenient refreshments carts on the actual tee. Disney World has world famous tourist spots such as the Magic Kingdom, the Disney-MGM studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme parks. There are also two water parks, six golf courses and a race car track. The Epcot Center is another attraction that inspired the world on its opening. Its mission is to showcase the culture and technological invention of various countries across the world in sections known as International Pavilions.

The beach is frequented by people who want to surf, wind surf, jet ski or water ski. The Ponce de Leon inlet is where surfers congregate as the waves are almost guaranteed. New Smyrna Beach is also a favorite spot for sport fishing enthusiasts and there are three 18-hole golf courses in the local area. One of the most important things to know is that the most popular destinations are not the best. If you go to a Fort Lauderdale Florida Beach resort, or a Miami Florida Beach, you may expect the water to be cleaner, the people to be more friendly, and the experience to be more convenient. This is not the case. There are so many people on the beach that it is not pleasant for any of them. They throw their garbage around, get up in each other’s faces, and generally end up in a foul mood through a combination of hot weather and overcrowding. Going to Florida beach resorts should not be like this.

I’ve heard countless stories about the orange state. Even though I’ve only been to Florida once myself, my wife has been there countless times. Her grandfather is a Florida native and she loved visiting him the entire time she grew up. She said her and her siblings enjoyed picking oranges from his trees. It’s funny the things we remember and hold dear as we age. Overall, she said Florida was a great place to live. Personally I can’t imagine looking into Florida acreage for sale for myself. I’m not exactly stoked about the heat rush down there. I appreciate all seasons. My kids on the other hand would love the exciting area. With Disney World close by, there’s no way to lose.

As expected, many beach house rentals are extremely high priced. It has a lot to do with what you are looking for. Many beach homes I recently searched online for were way over my head.  If you have the discipline to search online, you can locate some good deals.

I spotted a nice two story, simple honeymoon home right on the Florida coast, but was shocked at the rates. It read 3400 for summer rental. Now, I can’t afford 3400 a month on top of my regular house payment. I can’t imagine many of us could. Then when I clicked on the beach house to read more, I discovered something more absurd. The rate wasn’t per month; it was per week.

After exploring the hotel, Disney World is ready and waiting. It is the largest theme park in the world and there are twenty hotels on the resort to accommodate the thousands of visitors each year. The park contains the Magic Kingdom, with the Cinderella Castle, Epcot, the Animal Kingdom and the Disney-MGM Studios. In addition to the main attractions, there are two water parks, six golf courses and various shops and restaurants. The Coranado Springs hotel is also a good base for going to other local attractions. Sea World and Universal Studios are close by.
