Your Transnational Property Market — Assisted by The Property Index

Thursday, November 27th, 2008

Albeit the Property Index service is actually a recent corporation, starting their business only in March of 2007, they were swift to gain in reputation. They are actually a quite hassle-free corporation entirely dedicated to catering to any individual who is looking to sell property across the globe. Their promise: to assist you determine dead-on what you are looking for quick and, naturally, sans pain.

Property can be purchased in many parts of the world nowadays, one of the elite areas being property available in Spain. It’s fairly easy to list the phenomenal properties available for sale in Spain, the reason for hunting for estate here is the houses and apartments on the market and the possibility of being able to live between this dynamic and optimistic people. It is one of the truly favored property markets nowadays, and in view of the lovely landscape and the wonderful sunshine surrounding you night and day, how could you ever go wrong. Property in Spain is rich in history, this geographical region has a long tradition as a home to a good number of civilizations.

Property Index are specialists for property in Spain, view the site to see the different properties.

About 25 years ago there was a mere trickle of Englishmen in search of properties in Spain. Ask anyone who has chosen to remove to Spain and they’ll certainly back this up. Many people would label it a temporary craze and others label it a almost a fixation… Patrons interested in moving to this region may extend from young yuppie couples in search of a challenge in life to the older generation intending to settle down. Do bear in mind, however, that there might be quandaries when acquiring properties abroad; there are obviously dozens of actions to come to terms with be it when brainstorming, surveying or finalising. If you miss out on one minor step this may well provoke broad quandaries plus, critically, financial loss.

Obviously, as is to be supposed with this popular region, properties might well be expensive in this destination and that’s purely a result of the top market demand. Yet, patrons actually are somewhat spoilt in terms of choice in such a region characterized by good land. It certainly has the whole enchilada a patron might want and then some.

There is general great pressure from friends and relatives to buy your own home, but for many renting their homes works very well. One of the nicest things about renting your house is that if there is a problem you call the owner or the property manager tell them the problem, and they send someone to fix it. And you do not receive the bill!

However there is a downside, and that is that if the owner changes their mind about renting the house or decides to sell it, then you are out of a house. If you have a young family that can be very upsetting, or if you have an office in the home, it disrupts your whole life while you set up house again somewhere else.

Another advantage that has reared it’s head just lately, is that if the economy changes, or interest rates change, it really doesn’t affect you too much. Sure you may get a rent increase, but in lots of areas there is a maximum amount the owners can raise the rent by each year. And renting may give you a little more wriggle room with your expenses rather than being burdened with a large mortgage and no spare income. A change in your income can cause a great deal of added stress that all our family can do without!

Cottage Rentals

Sunday, May 4th, 2008

We have had ocean front property for a few years, but the cost of building and the inconvenience have prevented us from really doing anything with it. Instead, we have been using cottage rentals for the last several years as a way to enjoy ourselves in the summer. There is a lot to be said for cottages rentals. Owning cottages for sale is nice, but it requires a lot of work. You have to make sure it is well taken care of in the off-season, and issues like seasonal flooding, freezing, or freak weather can really take their toll rather quickly. There is nothing that can go bad more quickly than a neglected cabin, cottage, or vacation home.

With cottages rentals, however, you don’t have to worry about any of that. Someone else will be taking care of the cottage for you. You have all the conveniences of a vacation home with none of the responsibility. Often, you can find a cottage rental That would be out of your price range if you were to own it. I have stayed at some pretty luxurious houses on the beach, houses that I could never afford to buy. With cottage rentals, however, it doesn’t matter. If I’m staying a week or two, I can definitely afford the rent.

Resolve Financial Burdens With Property Rent Back Solutions

Tuesday, December 11th, 2007

The way the home rent back scheme works might not fit everyone’s needs because a discounted price is often paid for the seller’s property. Buyers typically pay 80% - 85% of the market value when offering the rent back service. Although there is the intention to rent back long term, rent back buyers can not give a lifetime guarantee on how long you can remain in the property. This is mainly due to future economic factors that are uncontrollable and unpredictable. Nonetheless, this service is there to help with your needs for a suitable solution. If you are in financial difficulty, you might be able to get back on track when you sell your home and rent it back.

Rent or Buy in New York City?

Saturday, December 8th, 2007

Everyone says that you have to be a C-level executive or Investment Banker to by any kind of home in New York City.  My question: is that true really true?  Even if you could buy something, is buying or renting in NYC a better choice?

I moved NYC in August and spent about two weeks looking for Manhattan apartments, and found something that appeared to be reasonable (relatively) after about 10 days.  After living in this apartment for a few months, I am hearing that it is a little overpriced considering how old the building is and that I can hear my wonderful upstairs neighbors sneeze.

I have been wondering what it would really take to buy a condo in Manhattan.  I know I am not going to get a place as large as the 1,000 square foot apartment in Denver that I previously had.   So if I accept that I am not going to get a large place, can I get any place on a IT job/Graduate Degree salary?

Visit North Georgia

Tuesday, July 3rd, 2007

The northern end of the state of Georgia is a mountainous region and was the home of the Cherokee people before settlers arrived from Europe. The scenery and history attract many visitors to North Georgia in what was the site for several USA Civil War encounters. There are some unusual tourist centers in the region, including the town of Helen in the Appalachian Mountains.  It is replicated from a typical alpine village in Bavaria, Germany.

Bangkok Serviced Apartments

Monday, June 25th, 2007

If you are considering travelling to Bangkok for more than 1 week, you may want to consider staying at a serviced apartment or condo.  Bangkok is a sprawling city with many serviced apartments to choose from, some with short stay policies (1 month) and others with long stay policies (1 year).

Bangkok Serviced Apartments are cheaper than staying at a hotel for a month.  They are just as good an experience as a hotel, as Thai staff are very accomodating in most serviced apartments.  Your room will be cleaned and made up everyday.  You will have to pay extra airconditioning, but you should get free cable and internet.
Bangkok Serviced Apartments and condos vary in quality and age. Some serviced apartments are quite old, so make sure you do your homework on websites like www.roommillion.com and look in expat forums.

Lake Property

Friday, June 15th, 2007

Lake property is getting to be very expensive. Most people in the state have a cabin or hunting shack on or close to one of the lakes. The demand for lake property has gone up each year. We thought that we would look for a lot on a lake where we could camp or park an RV until we were ready to build. We made an appointment with a realtor and explained what we were looking for. He asked what size lake we were interested in being on, and if we wanted it to be a fishing lake or a recreational lake. My husband loves to fish so we told him that we were interested in a fishing lake.

My dream of finding country houses to rent

Monday, May 28th, 2007

An article about renting country houses as a vacation alternative

For many years, my dream of finding country houses to rent was a frustrating venture. I simply didn’t have the money for a country house to rent. My vacations – if you could call them that – were two or three day affairs involving the Best Western at best, but more often cheap, fleabag hotels. I still dreamed of a country house to rent, and I was working extremely hard to get to the level of economic prosperity where I could afford such indulgences. Unfortunately, success seemed miles away.
