New Zealand Tourism New Zealand Tourism

More and more people, especially younger travelers, are looking for a little more adrenaline in their vacations. New Zealand had jumped at the opportunity to provide travelers with all sorts of adventure opportunities. Near Rotorua you can go zorbing, which consists of sliding into what amounts to a giant hamster ball and rolling yourself down a hill. Many companies provide jet-boat rides up whitewater rivers and through tight canyons at breakneck speeds. You can toss yourself off the highest bungee jump in the world or take part in world class whitewater rafting. The Waitomo area offers a huge host of caving opportunities, from the board-walked tourist caves to rappelling and sliding through mud and water to explore extensive underground labyrinths. Though this new breed of New Zealand tourism may not give you any trouble finding adventure, you may have a bit of trouble fitting it all in.

Airline Travel Deals

Thursday, June 15th, 2006

Finally, I’m speaking from experience when I say that making air, hotel, and car reservations online is a safe and convenient process. I love being able to make all of my travel arrangements at any time of the day or night from the comfort of my own home. I have been taking advantage of airline travel deals found on the Internet for many years now, and I have never had a problem with last-minute cancellations, mixed up reservations, fraudulent charges, or anything of that nature.

If you’re tired of paying exorbitant prices for airplane tickets, then I recommend searching for airline travel deals on the Internet. Once you start saving money this way, you’ll never want to get your tickets from anywhere else.

An article discussing the rise in New Zealand Tourism. Here’s an excerpt:

Just a few years ago, if you’d asked tourists to name places they’d like to visit, New Zealand would have received few mentions. New Zealand tourism was not much of an industry at all back then. But that’s certainly not the case today.

Airline Credit Card Benefits

Tuesday, April 18th, 2006

An Airline credit card is simply a credit card that works in conjunction with an airline miles program. These cards are very handy to have. If you sign up for an airline mileage program, you’ll usually receive information about airline credit card offers that work with your particular mileage program. Every major airline has an airline credit card associated with it that you can obtain to help you rack up miles. While you never really get a lot of miles when using an airline credit card with any one-time purchase, the miles do tend to add up. And before you know it you’re well on your way to getting a free ticket. Most of the miles I get come from taking actual flights, but when I buy my tickets using an airline credit card I receive more free miles.

Going Out? Traveling Soon? Try the Google Earth or Microsoft Internet Maps

Saturday, April 15th, 2006

Most people are completely unaware of the ways that the internet is changing our world and the emerging technologies that are popping up everyday.  One such amazing emerging technology is internet maps, specifically Google Earth and Windows Live local.  Satellite internet maps are incredibly useful for finding locations quickly or exploring new locations. These aren’t run of the mill maps like you see on
mapquest, but satellite image driven maps that allow you to explore anywhere in the world in just a few seconds.  Want to check out what Iraq looks like overhead? No problem.  Just type in Iraq into the Google EArth internet maps application and it will take you there.  Going to New York or Florida soon and want to see what downtown looks like? Again, let Google Earth take you there.  I’ve had a chance to mess around with Windows Live Local too and they have a cool feature that lets you virtually drive through the streets.  It’s just the beginning and very exciting.

I think this is the next phase of advertising.  Imaging virtually driving through downtown New York before heading out for the night and seeing a virtual coupon above the storefront of the virtual street in front of you.  Very powerful stuff! Just recently I had read that National Geographic is going to provide links to video and imagery taken from various parts of the world.  Other companies are
combining google earth with other applications, such as real estate listings to provide incredibly rich and useful applications.
