Many people think that traveling and a real vacation are now out of the question. We hear about soaring air fares, ground transportation and food prices and assume that our vacation had better be put on hold, without even looking into the possibilities. In a depressed travel industry, it makes sense that travel agents are going to be at their innovative best in putting together affordable travel vacation packages. If no one travels, they won’t survive. Similarly, owners of hotels and restaurants abroad need to attract guests. This makes for a buyer-friendly travel market.
Your first stop should be at your local travel agent. Ask about special packages to specific destinations that don’t cost an arm and a leg to get to and see the sights. This opens the door to what is sometimes called ‘adventure’ travel. Ever been to…

Nothing can ruin a vacation more quickly than being unprepared. What you want to have with you and what you need to do to get ready to go depends on your family and the ages of your children. Whatever the case, though, being unprepared can mean the difference between having an amazing time and wishing that you had never gone in the first place. Great family holidays definitely begin with a smart packing plan, and the ability to see all the possibilities that may arise while you are gone.
Packing for family holidays when you are the parents of younger children is probably one of the biggest vacation related challenges that you can face. You are going to find that you want to pack everything in your home that you use on a daily basis. If that is the case, you are going to have to take a rental truck rather than your car or a plane to get where you are going. That is not much fun, and would not be ideal for any family holidays. You have to learn to…

The people of Italy are a generous, hospitable and lively group. When you meet Italians on the street, just to ask directions, you’ll find that they are so eager to be genuinely helpful. Many do not speak English, but are quite adept at getting the message across. On a busy street in Rome, I approached a lady, to see if she could direct me to a watchmaker’s repair shop. Although she didn’t speak much English, she got me on my way, pointing the direction and counting blocks before turning.
Despite these many virtues, Italians are somewhat disorganized. Perhaps spontaneous is the better word! Trains in Italy do suffer from infrequent, unexpected strikes, usually lasting just a day or even only hours, before resuming regular service. Whatever you may have heard, it’s still unlikely you’ll encounter one of these strikes. You must avail yourself of the adventures to be found riding the rails of the trains in Italy.
Getting a rail pass before you…

When we plan trips overseas, there’s always a need to plan your transportation needs prior to leaving the States. You can arrange car rentals and train passage after you arrive, but it then becomes a far more expensive proposition. If you buy a transportation package in the U.S., you enjoy discounts of up to half the cost of buying as you go, within Europe.
This pre-arrangement does require that you carefully consider your itinerary and know just how many days you’ll spend traveling from one place to another. Plenty of first time visitors to France arrange for a car rental her in the States, believing it will allow them more freedom and spontaneity in terms of when and where they travel during their holiday.

You are far safer if you travel in groups, even though that is not always possible. What you want to do is to be sure of where you are going, and to be aware of what is around you at all times when you visit New York City. You should be safe enough if you take care. When you visit New York City, you probably have a reason for going. Though some go just to see the city, they often go when they know something specific is going on. The city is very dense and it can be hard to get from one end to the other. You should always try to get a hotel very near what you want to do while you visit New York City so that you don’t have to worry too much about getting there late or missing things all together.

The AS Rome (Associazione Sportiva Roma) is the football club of the Italian capital Rome.
It was founded in 1927, when the president of the club Fortitudo at that time, Italo Foschi, decided to bring together the three clubs Alba Audace, Roman and Fortitudo, in order to get the championship title. By doing so, the AS Rome was founded. The team of the club is often called “the Giallorossi” (The Yellow-reds) due to the colours of the club and strip.
The club is playing in the A-league, which is the best league for Italian professional football. The only time that they’ve ever has to play in B-league was in 1951, but in 1952 they went straight back up to the A-league. In this league the club managed to win the championship 3 times (1942, 1983 and 2001) and have managed to be runner up at least ten times. Since 2006 they managed to win this position 3 times in a row.
An example of a famous player of the current team is the striker Francesco Totti, but there have also been some very well known people playing for the team in years gone by. One of them was the ancient director of the German national team, Rudi Völler.
The AS Roma Ultras hass the biggest and oldest fan group of Italy. It has also a lot of tradition. They support the AS Rome as good as they can and they are well known among other football fans. The home matches of the club take place at the Olympistadium in Rome. This was re-opened in 1960 during the Olympic summer games. It has space for approximately 83.000 football fans. It is not however one of the biggest stadiums in the world ( the Gelora-Bung-Karno-Stadion in Jakarta is on ranked 10th place, having 88.306 seats). Nevertheless it is well worth a look.
If you are in Rome and you have the chance to watch a match of AS Rome in the Olympiastadium, you should definitely take the chance! In order to have a perfect stay you should have a look for accommodation (Unterkunft Rom) in advance. If a Hotel in Rom is too expensive you might want to look for an apartment (Ferienwohnung Rom). Here you’ll have a lot of space and you can save some money in comparison to a lot of the hotels in the city. Enjoy your stay and remember to support AS Rome.

The celebration of the Chinese new year traditions of New York and San Francisco are two of the most interest cultural events, and best parties, in the country. A lot of people are familiar with the basics of the Chinese new year celebration – the dragon dance, the fireworks, the parade – but until you have seen it all first hand, you can’t really imagine what it is like. It can be actually a little bit scary the first time. Traditional American parades with car horns, sirens, and marching bands are raucous enough.
