Valentine Poems - Audio File for iPod and MP3

Saturday, January 27th, 2007

Does your Loved one own an iPod, other MP3 player or one of the new cell phones that can play MP3? Then you may be able to surprise her with an aduio file that reads very romantic Valentines poems. You’re sure going to win her heart!

These Valentines poems can be downloaded as audio files, it’s real easy . The collection ‘A Dozen Red Roses: 12 Valentines Poems‘ is my favourite, it contains a wide variety of different poems, you can be sure that they will touch the right cords. These twelve poems can also be downloaded individually, making them a nice and not too expensive gift to add to chocolates, flowers or any other, more conventional gifts.

Your Valentine will have these files with her / him forever to listen to your precious gift whenever they feel like it and miss you! Make sure you hand her/him the poems when the two of you are sipping a tasty glass of deep red French Burgundy.

Happy Hour

Thursday, January 25th, 2007

Happy hour might be the perfect place to have if you drinks with friends. Many times the bar will serve food at half-price during these hours. If you see someone you have not spoken to on a while, this may be the perfect time to catch up. Though I rarely go anywhere for happy hour, I think I would prefer that to a night in the bar. Perhaps I’m just too old now, but when I go to a bar at night I feel out of place, and quite frankly, bored out of my mind. I notice that most of the crowd is much younger than me, so perhaps I am not the only one that feels this way.

Can Drinking Red Wine Reduce Risk of Alzheimers?

Wednesday, December 20th, 2006

According to new research, red wine may help sharpen the mind and reduce risk factors associated with Alzheimers disease. Red wines contain the compound resveratrol, which has been found to reduce levels of amyloid-beta peptides. Those are responsible for killing brain cells, loss of short-term memory, judgment and attention span. The study, appearing in the journal Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology, compared three groups of mice: one group consumed Cabernet Sauvignon, another ethanol and another drank only water. After seven month, the mice that drank Cabernet Sauvignon averaged 50 percent fewer amyloid-beta plaques than the mice that drank water. This group of Cabernet drinking mice also performed better than the others in cognitive tests.

Personalized Wine Bottle Is Great Holiday Gift Idea

Tuesday, November 21st, 2006

It’s a good idea to work closely with the company that is designing these for you. Ask to see a sample of the label before the personalized wine bottles are produced as you want to make certain that there are no spelling mistakes before the full order is filled. This approach works well as you can also make changes if the label isn’t exactly as you envisioned. Things like color and font are relatively easy to adjust. After all, if you are paying for a personalized wine bottle, you want it to be perfect.

Archery Events At The Olympic Games

Monday, November 20th, 2006

There are four archery events held at the Olympics: Men’s Individual, Women’s Individual, Men’s Team and Women’s Team.  Archers used to shoot a double FITA round of 288 total arrows, with the championship decided by the highest total score.  In an effort to make the sport more exciting, the format was changed to head-to-head elimination.  This included the top 64 competitors beginning in the 1992 Olympics and continues all the way to the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.

Perfect Restaurant Dinner

Thursday, November 16th, 2006

It’s nice to go out with a bunch of old friends to a restaurant, but my favorite meal is a romantic restaurant dinner for two. It doesn’t have to be a fancy place with a complicated menu, as long as it has a romantic atmosphere. The table must be set in a certain way, with candles and flowers. The dinner service must be exquisite and I prefer the tablecloth to be of crisp, white linen. I like the restaurant to be fairly quite, with just the background murmur of couples chatting. I don’t want any ambient music and I definitely don’t want people with violins or accordions inflicting their terrible noise at our table. There must be soft lighting and attentive, friendly waiters. They will be helpful and not condescending. I find the service in Indian restaurants to be the best; they look after you as if you were a long, lost cousin!

Romantic Restaurants

Wednesday, November 15th, 2006

When you think of romantic restaurants, you may have candlelight and soft music in mind. This is a common theme in restaurants, but it doesn’t guarantee a romantic atmosphere. There are other things to take into consideration. Things such as children running around, loud waiters, or too little space between tables can make what could be romantic restaurants seem like any other place in town. It may take you a while to find the perfect place for your romantic evenings.

Wine Of The Month Club

Friday, November 10th, 2006

That is why I joined a good local California wine of the month club. This may sound strange to say, but since moving to good old California, I have never tasted a local wine which I did not like. Now that I think about it, the same goes for local beer. It is strange to be partial to a particular region, since the grapes that grow there can’t really be that different from those that grow anywhere else, but I really do love California wine.
