Here’s about Eating Healhty
Time passes by very quickly. Our activities changes also with the seasons. It is getting to be summertime and that means it is time to put away the sweaters and heavy pants and bring out the lighter weight and more light clothes of summer. My husband and I decided to take our summer clothes out of the storeroom and to bag up the winter clothes. We both found that we had put on weight over the winter. We have started walking for exercise as the weather is improving and getting warmer, but we have been eating many of our meals in restaurants lately.

One of the more classic (and classy) of the Napa Valley wine tours is the limousine tour: you choose a six- or eight-hour tour. You schedule a pick-up destination for your party. And you are chauffeured from the spot in a stretch limousine, taken along the gorgeous hills and into the valleys of the Napa/Sonoma areas while you start with complimentary champagne, visit four or five wineries, and get expert lessons and advice at a “state-of-the-art” winemaking facility.
Then, the limousine takes your party for a catered gourmet picnic lunch, also featured at one of the wineries—so you can enjoy the panorama of hills and vineyard colors, smells, and subtle nature sounds. I discovered by way of Beau Wine Tours that this is one fine way to sample, learn, and fall in love with the area.

Oakland, California will always be home for me. Even though I was born in San Francisco, I have lived in Oakland from the age of three onward. Less than ten miles from the city and all of it’s benefits, yet with the bay acting as a buffer from the funky weather from the Pacific, I’m convinced that the land Oakland, California rests upon is paradise on earth.
The perfect location of Oakland, California is definitely its greatest plus. Though it is of course an East Bay city, it is centered almost exactly in the middle of the greater Bay Area. Hopping over to San Francisco is a piece of cake; the bay bridge takes you there in 15 minutes (without traffic of course!), or you can hop on BART from several different Oakland based stations. Oakland, California is also right next to Berkeley, Walnut Creek, Hayward, and isn’t too far from San Jose or Marin.

When we think of Australia we commonly picture the Outback. Koala bears and kangaroos fill the image of the country in our minds. I am among the many westerners who visualize the country in this way. Jacob’s Creek vineyard is beginning to change our view of the land down under. Now when I think of Australia, I think of wine.

While surfing around the internet, I stumbled upon something so fantastic that it immediately got my attention… In fact, I discovered something sooo amazing at first I thought it was “too good to be true” like most things are.
You see, a few months ago, I was actually doing some research on Mr. H. E. Bravery one of the most acknowledged and influential wine makers of the last century and of all time. I noticed that most of his work was available and accounted for with the exception of one of his most important pieces of work ‘Successful Winemaking At Home’. Well, this got me curious and so I started digging a little deeper and I started to send off a few emails asking questions… Unfortunately every, road I seemed to head down was a dead end… until a couple of weeks ago that is…

Have you ever thought how many of our senses cooperate when we decide to consume a cooling bottle of beer? Well, just consider that we touch the cold bottle from the fridge or over the bar counter, we listen to the carbon dioxide that is released while the beer’s foam develops, we see the amber color of the beer poured into our glass, we smell the aromatic substances that come from the snatch block and of course we taste the distinct bitter beer taste that is associated with the contained acids and wooden taste of tannins.
